For over a decade, the Feast, in junction with the University
of Illinois, has engaged nearly 10,000 participants through out the
state in using new and cutting edge technologies. We offer low-cost
staff development with a 5:1 participants to trainer ratio. Our
trainers are teachers who use technology daily to provide meaningful
instruction. The Feast covers a variety of topics including SMART,
Moodle, web development, RtI, podcasting, Office 2007, Windows 7, Google
applications, Web 2.0 tools, and many more. We provide 1 to 1 support
and just-in-time enrichment based on daily feedback.
All Feast participants receive:
hands-on training
curriculum guide
software
professional development credit (CPDUs &
optional graduate credit)
classroom applications and integration
plenty of food!
Preparing for its 12th year, A Moveable Feast has grown from 3
sites and less than 150 participants in 1998 to over 475 participants at 7 sites
throughout the state during the summer of 2005. For the summer of 2008, the
Moveable Feast is undergoing curriculum reconstruction in collaboration with
Bloomington Public Schools District 87 and
the University of Illinois Office of Educational Technology.
As data becomes an integral part driving instructional decisions, technology
becomes an essential tool for making this possible. The Moveable Feast is right
there with the training educators need and want.
